Pakistan Climate Change Impact Storylines Based on Existing Vulnerability Literature was prepared under the GCF PAK-RS-003 project to support MoCC&EC and partners in implementing Pakistan’s National Adaptation Plan, with UNEP as the delivery partner. The report synthesises existing research and stakeholder perspectives on projected climate change and the risks these changes pose under current vulnerability conditions at national and provincial levels. It develops impact storylines using evidence on historical climate events, climate projections, and socio-economic drivers, and then applies a provincial lens with focused analysis of four priority sectors: water resources, agriculture, health, and disaster preparedness. The outputs are intended to support risk-informed planning by clarifying barriers to implementation and identifying where adaptation action can be most effectively targeted.
